Explain what a spectator ion is.
Let us describe what a spectator ion is, using an example. Consider the following reaction where aqueous calcium nitrate, Ca(NO3)2 is combined with aqueous sodium phosphate, Na3PO4, resulting in the exchange of anions between the cations, to form the two products Ca3(PO4)2 and NaNO3, of which, Ca3(PO4)2 is insoluble and will thus precipitate. The balanced chemical reaction is as follows :3 Ca(NO3)2(aq) + 2 Na3PO4(aq) ? Ca3(PO4)2(s) + 6 NaNO3(aq)Complete ionic equation :Now, if we split the individual ions from this reaction, we will get the complete ionic equation, which is as follows :3Ca2+(aq) + 6NO3-(aq) + 6Na+(aq) + 2(PO4)3-(aq) ? Ca3(PO4)2(s) + 6Na+(aq) + 6NO3-(aq)Ca3(PO4)2 does not split because it does not form ions but forms a precipitate.Spectator ion :An ion that appears on both sides of a complete ionic equation and does not directly participate in the reaction is called a spectator ion. For example, the two spectator ions in this reaction are :1. Na+2. NO3-Net ionic equation :If we cancel the spectator ions from both sides of the complete ionic equation, what we get is a net ionic equation. The net ionic equation for the given reaction is as follows :3 Ca2+(aq) + 2 (PO4)3-(aq) ? Ca3(PO4)2(s)

problems of deep or asks us to explain what a spectator ion is in a spectator. Ion is an eye on that does not participate in a reaction. Does not participate Human, eh? Reaction or xn? Look, look, An example for this. So we have the reaction. Two. Any ridge. This is a Chris less. See you steal too. A Prius yields to. And a CEO a curious waas. See you. Oh, h two solid. Now if we break this up, Uh, iniquitous solution. We're going to get two an A plus. Hey, Gris plus two Oh h minus the British plus. See you. Too close. Hey, Chris. Plus to feel minus. Hey, Chris, you know, two an A plus a queer. Us too. CEO minus. Hey, Gris Plus See you. A wage too two solid. Now, the only thing, uh, or how to identify the spectator ions are ones that do not change from the reactant is to the products. And so, in this example, that would be our in a plus. And our CEO minus these two would be the spectator ions. Where is the only thing that actually reacting in this system is the See you too close and the age minus to make this solid

If you write pi (to the first two decimal places of 3.14) backwards, in big, block letters it actually reads "PIE".
