and this problem, we're given the function F of X is equal to four X minus one. We want to find each of the following values on part A. We want to find f of want. Well, that means we want to find the value of dysfunction when X is equal to one. So the find half of one, we simply substitute one in four acts into our equation. So we have four times one minus one. From here, we simply need to evaluate using the order of operations. Well, first, we're gonna multiply four times. One which is equal to four and four minus one is three. So f of one is equal to three and part B. We want to find f of negative, too. Well, that means to find the value of this function when X is negative too. So we simply substitute negative to infer axe. So f of negative too is equal to four times negative to minus one. Now we need to evaluate well, four times negative too is negative eight and negative eight minus one is negative night. So from negative to is equal to negative in part c. They want us to find f of 14 So again we simply need to substitute 1/4 in for acts into our function. So f of 14 is equal to four times 1/4 minus one and now we need to evaluate well four times. 1/4 is equal to one and one minus one is equal to zero, so f of 1/4 is equal to zero. And lastly, in part D, we're looking for to find 50. In order to find out for 50 we need to substitute 50 in four acts into our function. So f of 50 equals four times 50 minus one and now we need to evaluate well four times 50 is 200 and 200 minus one is 199 so f of 1 50 is equal to 109.
