In mathematics, a function is a relation between a set of inputs and a set of permissible outputs with the property that each input is related to exactly one output. An example is the function that relates each real number x to its square x^2. The output of a function f corresponding to an input x is denoted by f(x).

for this problem. We want to find the equation for a horizontal line that passes through the point to negative six. Well, let's take a moment and do a quick sketch of that line to see what it looks like. This is a rough sketch. I'm not trying to be perfectly precise here. Just want to get a feel for what this line looks like. If I find the point to negative six, it's going to be approximately here. Over two, down six and a horizontal line. Go side to side. So there's my horizontal line Now, every time you have a horizontal line is gonna be in the format of why equals a number in this case is gonna be the why coordinate of the point that I know. So that means it's gonna be why equals negative six. But let's see why that ISS, No matter what point I pick on this line, let's say and pick maybe a point over here, they mean that's negative. Four. I'm gonna have to go down negative six to get on that line. If I go to X equals negative to To get in that line, I have to go down negative. Six. If I have X equals zero to get on that line, I have to go down negative six. So that the common denominator of all of these points is I have to have a negative six in order to get down to that line, which means why equals negative six.
