I would approach this problem using u substitution.

And the reason for that is we learn in this section that if you let you equal the denominator and then you solve for du, then the derivative of that would be 2x dx.

And for my students, i like to solve for dx a lot, which would be divide that 2x to the left side.

And the reason why that's a helpful tactic is because then we can substitute, and what i usually do is leave the x alone that's in the numerator.
