In mathematics, a function is a relation between a set of inputs and a set of permissible outputs with the property that each input is related to exactly one output. An example is the function that relates each real number x to its square x^2. The output of a function f corresponding to an input x is denoted by f(x).

for this problem, we need to find the slope of the line that connects these two points. So in order to find this, we need to go back to the definition of slope. What is slope? Well, slope is rise over. Run rises. How far you go up and down. So another way to think of rise is our change in why run is how fast we're going side to side. So that's our change in X. Okay, So how do we find these changes when you're looking at the change between two numbers, that's a subtraction. So I could say the change in why is why one minus y to the change in X is X one minus X two. Now it doesn't matter which one we set to be. What 10.1 which one we said to be point to. As long as we start with the coordinates from the same point in the beginning, As long as we keep them steady, we're good. So let's call this 1.1, and we'll call our second point point to just to keep things straight. So what is our slope? Well, typically we have slope is m. So slope is going to be the difference in my wise. So I'm going to start with that first point negative two minus negative, 1.4. So that's gonna be in addition and again says, I started with 0.1 On the top. I start with 0.1 on the bottom on. I have one minus one, so that gives me a negative 0.6 on top. But I have a problem in the denominator. It's a zero says I can't divide by zero. This is an undefined slope.
