for this problem, we need to find several pieces of information about our given line. Specifically, we're gonna find this slope. We're going to find the X intercept and the Y intercept. Now, in order to do this, when the easiest places to start is to put our equation into slope intercept form. In other words, we're going to solve it for why it will say why equals M X Plus B. The reason this form is so nice for this type of problem is that this am the coefficient of the X term is the slope and B is our y intercept. Now both the X and Y Interceptor actually points. And now let's divide everything by negative for both sides. That gives me why equals. Well, the first piece here. The negatives will cancel. So I have 3/4 X and then 12 over. Negative four is minus three. So here's our new equation in slope intercept form. The coefficient of R X term is our slopes, or slope is 3/4 the constant. When this case is negative. Three is my Why intercept. So my Y intercept is at the 30.0 negative three. Now, the last piece we need is the X intercept. So let's go back up to our original equation. I'm going to re copy that here. Three X minus four y equals 12. The definition of X intercept is the point that where the line goes through the X axis, which means why is zero. So I'm going to set my Y term equal to zero, which means I'll have three x minus zero equals 12. And if I solve that for ACS, I divide both sides by three and I get X equals four. So my ex intercept is the 0.40 So here are the three pieces of information that we needed. Our slope are X intercept and our Y intercept.
