Okay, so this problem we're finding the value for Z three Z minus four squared is equal to 64. So the fact that we have the square, the entire function is being squared. It's good because now we can jump right into square Rudy. And what that does is that one does the square. So on the left side, you just have three Z minus four. Now, what you have to remember is when you square root 60 for you don't just get positive. Eight. You could have gotten a negative eight because think about what happens if you took a negative value. Negative eight. And you square that you still get positive 64. So you need both answers now. To me, it makes more sense for students to write out that three Z minus four could equal eight or three C minus four could equal negative eight. That way, when you continue on and you solve because I've seen so many students, right, like plus or minus eight plus four equals plus or minus 12. That is not the case, because when you add 4 to 8, you do get 12. But when you add for two negative eight. You get negative for so then from here. Like I said, all the steps are the same. Um, it's just if students don't split it up, they tend to right the wrong answer.
