The first thing we noticed about this figure is that it's a square, that is, all the dimensions are the same. Let's start with the volume. Well, volume is going to be equal toe length times with times height. In our case, all three of these air the same. So we're really doing 4.5. Cute. When you multiply this out, you get 91 point one 25 So the volume of this is 91.1 to 5. Next, we're interested in the surface area. Now the surface area is the sum of all the areas of all the sights. But there's an extra little catch here that actually makes it easier for us. Each side is the same area because all the dimensions are the same. Thus, if we find the area of one side and multiply it by the number of sides in this case, six will be able to get the surface area. Well, the area of one side is going to be the length times the with, and in our case, will anything with her the same. So we're gonna do 4.5 times 4.5 and then multiply This number by six in order to account for all six sides. When we do this, we get 121 point Fox. So the surface area is 121 and 1/2 cubic units or excuse me square units.
