Hi there. In this problem, we are looking at the noble gasses. Those elements found and group hate a on the periodic table and were given helium with its atomic number of two and mass number of four, followed by neon mass Number of 20 atomic number 10 are gone mass number 40 atomic number 18, crypt on with 84 in 36. And finally Zen on mass number 1 32 and atomic number 54. And the first thing we want to do is figure out how many protons and neutrons are in each of these. So I'm gonna go ahead and set this up like a table. So I want my number of protons there and my number of neutrons there. So for helium atomic numbers too. So there must be two protons. And if I take the mass number and subtract the atomic number, I get the number of neutrons, which is also to for neon. There are 10 protons mass numbers, protons plus neutrons. So if I take the mass number and subtract 10, I get my number of neutrons, which is also 10 for are gone atomic numbers 18. So there are 18 protons and I get 22 neutrons for Krypton. It's gonna be 36 and then 84 minus 36 gives me 48 neutrons. Thank you. And finally, Zine on has 54 protons and it looks like 78 would be the number of nutrients. The next column I want here is a neutron two Proton ratio, right? So for helium, it looks like it's just a 1 to 1 ratio because there's equal numbers. The same is also true for neon. When I get toe are gone. If I take 22 divided by 18, I get 1.2 21 for the protons. For Krypton 48 divided by 36 gives me 1.3 to one ratio. And for Zen on 78 divided by 54 gives me a 1.4 toe, one ratio. So what I notice here is as theater Tomic number increases as the atomic number increases.
