So this question is asking us about how various organisms get rid of their nitrogenous waste. So we have several answer choices. B says that mammals never excretes there nitrogenous waste in the form of uric acid. Now this. You should always really careful with statements that say never. Because there&#x27;s it&#x27;s very hard to create absolute rules like that and C says by marine fishes, in mostly the form of Yuria. That&#x27;s not true. We can see here that fish usually excrete their nitrogenous waste in the form of ammonia. Ammonia is pretty toxic, which means that you need to dilute it with a lot of water if you want to safely excrete it. So fish are really lucky in that they live in a very watery environment, so they&#x27;re able to have enough water to X treat their nitrogenous waste in the form of ammonia without causing it to be in concentrations that could be toxic to the organism. So, no, that is incorrect because fishes use ammonia, not Yuria and D says that this does not contribute to the ah similarity of the urine. That doesn&#x27;t make any sense because we have a salute. Of course, it&#x27;s going to contribute to the Ah similarity. And finally, E says, requires more water if the waste product is the rather insoluble uric acid. Now uric acid is used by birds, and it&#x27;s pretty paste like and it&#x27;s insoluble. That is true, but it doesn&#x27;t require more water. Actually, the reason that they&#x27;re adapted to use uric acid is because it requires less water and birds need to be flying around. And water is very heavy that can&#x27;t be carrying around a bunch of water. So uric acid is the best way to go for birds because it uses less water, not more. So that is also incorrect. And so, by process of elimination, we know that the answer has to be a by humans can be in the form of Yuria and uric acid.

All right, So for this question, we&#x27;re gonna be looking at freshwater fish. Um and we&#x27;re going to looking at what happens to their water intake. They have too much. Do they not have enough? What happens to their eye on? So remember, sodium, potassium chloride. What happens to all that stuff in the water that they take in? And so to start, I&#x27;m going to do a very crude drawing of a fish, a classic drawing, and remember fish gills, which they used to breathe. So if we zoom in on these gills, let&#x27;s just look at them like a cell. So each one of these gills has thousands, maybe even millions of cells, and we&#x27;ll just draw circular cell. And so what happens is because they&#x27;re in fresh water. Remember, freshwater means that it doesn&#x27;t have the salt content like the Marine Ocean. So because these cells are sitting in this fresh water and will make this kind of blue around because they&#x27;re sitting in this water, they actually have more soul use or more ions on the inside than there are on the outside. So we&#x27;ll make ions in red. We&#x27;ll just make red little circles. They have more stuff floating around on the inside because, member, the outside is fresh water. So the cell is actually sold here we could call it. And so what happens is when this fish over here, when he&#x27;s just swimming through the ocean, his cells well, actually start to take in water. Because, remember, water always moves from where there is more of it to where there is less of it, which is here in the middle.
