Okay, so for metric prefixes with the SI units, unfortunately here, the best way to know these is to memorize them, there's no good other way to do it. So let's take a look at what some of those prefixes um might be. And so if we're looking at 10 to the third or 1000 that's called kilo. And uh, it's abbreviation is a lower case. Okay. If we were to take a look at 10 to the -2, Right? That's the same as .01, 10 to the -2 is known as senti with a lower case C. If we're looking at .1 Which is also 10 to the -1, that is called Desi and that is abbreviated with a lower case D. If we were to do 10 to the -3, that's known as Millie and that's abbreviated with the lower case M. If we were to look at a million and if we were to convert that to scientific notation, we move the decimal 0.6 places. That's 10 to the sixth power. That is known as mega, which is abbreviated with a capital M. Yeah. And finally, if we had .01, We can move the decimal point to the right six places. So that's known as 10 to the -6. 10 of the -6 is micro, which uses the greek letter mu.
