00:10 So let's go ahead and talk about some of those different parenting styles.

00:18 So there have been a couple different parenting styles identified by psychologists.

00:22 One of them is the authoritarian one, which has to do with where the parent is the boss through and through.

00:29 And they don't really.

00:30 Consider their children as having rights.

00:32 They don't need to answer their children's questions.

00:36 They don't expect to be questioned at all and so on, so forth.

00:43 Authoritarian.

00:46 Then there's the authoritative, or also called the democratic family, but here we'll write authoritative, since it's the more common term for it, authoritative.

00:56 Here there's a lot of discussion in these families.

00:58 So while the parents reserve the right to act as an authoritarian in the sense of having the final say.
