you, uh, graph this equation. But before we do, we must solve for why and make this standard form into our slope intercept form. So we want to isolate Why are you why, old by itself? So that it looks in the format of y equals MX plus B eso. In order to do that, we're gonna ask ourselves whats happening to why and we're gonna undo it. Why is being multiplied by four and then it is taking away the quantity of three times X. So lastly, what happened to it was taking away the three X. So we're going to add three X to each side. Inverse operation gets rid off. Um, the number and we're going to add it to the other side as well, because we want to keep the equation equal. Therefore, we have to keep it balanced. So now we have on the left hand side, or why and for why is equal to three X plus one now why is being multiplied by four. So, in order to get rid of the four, we must do the inverse operation of multiplication, which is division. I divide both sides by four four divided by four is one's enough with only one y or just why. And it's equal to 3/4 x laughs. 1/4. Okay, And so now I can graph this equation. So let's go in here. Um, if we go to daz Melis dot com, you can find a graphing calculator and we can plug the equation right into the bar over here on the left and we'll see it graph in front of our eyes. So again, we've got why is equal to three. Ah, slash Before, we could even push the division button on this keyboard here and go ahead and press tab so we can, uh, multiply it by X so you can see the graph is starting to create. Right now, this shows a proportional relationship going through zero. But remember, our Y intercept in our equation is 1/4. So now this show is that I start at zero comma 1/4 and I follow a slope of over four. So over to over four up. Three up. Three
