Okay, so we are now looking at fungi and we're asked to make a list of some words and describe the general structures of these fungi.
00:11
So we're going to be looking at a few different structures and we are going to draw them and describe them.
00:18
So first off, let's start with one of the major structures that you will find in fungi, one of the main characterizing ones.
00:30
So this is going to be the cell wall, which is outlined in black here.
00:37
So that will be the cell wall.
00:40
And we'll just make this typical cell with some organelles in it.
00:45
And the black is the cell wall, which has the same function that it would, or the cell wall would in other organisms, which would act to protect, mainly.
00:57
To protect and act is a barrier.
01:00
So that is one, vocabulary word, structure we can define and draw as we have here.
01:06
So another main structure that we can draw and depict and talk about is the cross wall, also known as the scepta.
01:17
So to do this or to draw this, i will draw another cell right here.
01:22
Same thing.
01:23
You have the cell wall here, just some rough organelles, nothing too pretty.
01:29
And here, this is this ring.
01:31
I'll draw in blue to differentiate depicts a connection between these two cells.
01:37
And we would call this the scepta, aka the cross wall.
01:41
This would be the scepta...
