This session, we're going to be talking about strong electrolytes and water solubility.
00:08
And all we're going to do on this is we will be given a set of four compounds.
00:13
And i'll give you my first four compounds.
00:16
We have copper two carbonate, copper two hydroxide, copper two chloride, and copper two oxide.
00:34
And we are asked to identify which one of these, if which one or more than one would be a strong electrolyte.
00:45
In order to be a strong electrolyte, we're going to have to have a compound that is soluble.
00:51
So when i'm checking my solubility charts, i'm going to write, this is insoluble, it is not a strong electrolyte.
00:59
This is insoluble, not a strong electrolyte.
01:05
This is soluble.
01:08
This copper 2 chloride is a strong electrolyte.
01:12
And copper 2, chloride, oxide is also insoluble.
01:18
So for the first set of four compounds, only one is a strong electrolyte, copper 2 chloride...
