00:01 So when it comes to primary productivity, there's going to be some influencers that are going to affect this.

00:08 So we're first going to list these here.

00:11 So one influencer is going to be sunlight.

00:15 So the amount of sunlight will be affecting this, whether it's too much, too little, or right in the middle.

00:22 Another influencer is temperatures.

00:24 So high temperatures, low temperatures, and in between.

00:28 Also the water, what kind of water access is available in the amount of it.

00:33 And then also nutrients.

00:36 So what kind of nutrients are in that soil or in that environment? is it high in nutrients or is it low in nutrients where it's missing some things? so here we have on the left, we have a desert, and then here on the right we have a rainforest, two total different environments.

00:57 So on a desert, we know that there's usually a lot of sunlight.

01:01 We know also that in deserts, it tends to get pretty warm, and sometimes in certain areas and certain deserts at nighttime, it can get very, very cold.

01:25 And then also when it comes to water, it's almost non -existent in areas of deserts.
