In $23-28,$ write an equation of the direct variation described. Water is flowing into a swimming pool at the rate of 25 gallons per minute. The number of gallons of water in the pool, $g,$ is directly proportional to the number of minutes, $m,$ that the pool has been filling from when it was empty.
$g=25 m,$ where $g$ is in gallons and $m$ is the number of minutes.

we can approach. This problem is writing out what each variable stands for. So we know G is the amount of gallons of water in the pool at a given time. An M is the minutes the water has been pouring in. So using our direct variation equation, we know we can replace, uh, why, with g equals k times m. So in this case, we know that it water has been flowing for 25 minutes. So okay, here will just be 25 g equals 25 m will be our final equation.
