00:01 So these questions i'm going to determine if it's a monomial, binomial, or trinomial, or another polynomial, and then indicate the degree.
00:07 So let's look at the first one.
00:09 9y cubed minus 10 y squared plus 2y minus 6.
00:15 I has 1, 2, 3, 4 terms.
00:18 So we would just call that a polynomial.
00:22 My highest degree is 3, so that would be a cubic.
00:26 So it would be a cubic polynomial.
00:28 The next one will be negative 12 p cubed q.
00:35 Now this just only has one term, so it's called a monomial.
00:41 And for the degree, i would add up my exponents since they're being multiplied.
00:47 So i would have p to third and q to the first would be fourth degree.
00:53 And we call that a quartic.
00:56 So it would be a quartic monomial...
