00:01 So let us start with the question.
00:03 We have to find out the greater common factor out of polynomial.
00:07 So the polynomial is 45b minus 18.
00:12 We have to find a gcf and also we have to factor this.
00:15 Okay.
00:16 So before we start, i'll write down the steps involved.
00:20 These are the steps involved.
00:21 I'll explain it.
00:23 Step one, we have to find out the gcf for the terms.
00:25 We will find the gcf for the terms.
00:27 Okay.
00:28 And then we have to rewrite each of the term as product.
00:30 Of gcf okay so in each term we have to somehow show the gcf and the step three we will factor out the gcf that is we will take out the gcf common from each of the term and step four is a verification step where we will solve the factor and we have to reach back the original polynomial if we do it it's correct our factors are correct okay so let us start with the step one step one says to find the gcf so i'll write down the term 45b and 18 and i have to find the gcf okay so always remember we have to fact the gcf okay so always remember we have to fact the coefficients into product of its fimes okay so 45 is nothing but 9 into 5 okay but 9 is not prime number 5 is a prime number okay so 9 we can further split it as 3 into 3 okay and 18 we can write it as 6 into 3 and 6 we can write it as 2 into 3 and this 3 as it is so these are the factors okay so i'll write them so 45 i can write it as 3 into 3 into 5 and then into b and 18 i can write it as 2 into 3 into three that's it okay so in order to find the gcf we will take out the common terms here i can see this three common and this three pair of three as common so i'll highlight them rest nothing is common in this so i'll take pairs diagonally like this okay so uh the gcf for this is three into three that we have taken common it is nothing but nine so i'll write the gcf as nine okay now we will go for the step two in step step to what we will do is we will rewrite each term in the polynomial.
02:06 We have to somehow show the gf in that terms.
02:09 Okay, so i'll show how it is done.
02:12 So 45b minus 18.
02:15 So clearly i can see there is nine somewhere involved in each of the terms.
02:19 So we have to actually our intention is to bring this gzf in each of the terms...
