In the study of sound, one version of the law of tensions is$$f_{1}=f_{2} \sqrt{\frac{F_{1}}{F_{2}}}$$If $F_{1}=300, F_{2}=60,$ and $f_{2}=260,$ find $f_{1}$ to the nearest unit.

all right, We're given this formula for the law of tensions and were given some values to plug in and we're going to solve for little F one. So lower case F one is equal to lower case F two, which is 260 multiplied by the square root of capital F 1 300 over capital F to 60. Now, we could reduce this a little bit. We have 260 multiplied by the square root of five. And then what we're going to do is approximate it and round it to the nearest unit. So we put this into a calculator and we get 581.
