looks like we have a bonus that we're gonna invest. It's a $40,000 bonus part of it in a international fund with 8%. The rest is an offshore bank of 9% international fund eight in an offshore bank of nine international fund, not 8%. Oh, sure, bank got 9%. And then it says the, uh, interest was 34 15 34 15 earned and interest. So let's just say the international fund is X. The offshore bank is why I know that X Plus y needs to make $40,000. And of the 8% move the decimal twice and 9% I need to make 3450. I'm gonna use elimination here. Multiply but points you're away. Bring the equation down below. So I have a 0.8 x plus 0.8 Why? And then 40,000 times 0.8 is 3200. Then you were able to eliminate by subtracting those equations from each other because that eliminates the 0.8 acts, leaving you with 0.1 Wine equals 215 solve for y and divide by 0.1 and you have Why equals to 1500 21,500 then. Because you know X and y add up to 40,000 you just need this Subtract 40,000 minus 21,000 500. And so that's 18,000 500. Because your ex senior why I need to add up to the 40,000.
