All right, so here we're going to talk about in terms of all of earth's water, where the main reservoirs, kind of subdivisions we could take of it, are stored.
00:12
So we'll start with the largest, that being earth's oceans.
00:18
And again, i'm going to give you some approximations here, percentages throughout this.
00:23
And oceans have about 97 .2 % of all earth's water or so.
00:30
So again, that remaining part about 2 .8%.
00:34
We are freshwater components, which will subdivide into a number of things, starting with ice sheets and glaciers.
00:44
And so this makes up a pretty big component of that freshwater part.
00:49
So somewhere around 2 .15 % or so.
00:54
Again, these are kind of just approximations of giving you, rough approximations to give you understandings of approximately how much is contained per each of these reservoirs.
01:09
The next main component, also significant part of that freshwater component, is going to be in groundwater, or as its name, implies water that is within earth's sphere, within earth's crust.
01:26
I'm generally not right at kind of the very earth's surface, but kind of deeper.
01:30
Down.
01:31
So usually this is something about 0 .6 or so...
