Okay, i've been asked to create a design using three quadratic relations that have been translated.
00:07
So i don't want to mess with the fact that they are quadratics and therefore parabolas.
00:12
I only want them to be translated.
00:14
So i just kind of played around and came up with a little ditty that i thought looked kind of neat.
00:20
And it would be especially neat if it was filled in in color, but would need any qualities to do that.
00:26
So i'm going to go ahead and show you what i did here.
00:30
I said y minus two equals x squared.
00:32
So that's a parabola that has been shifted up to.
00:37
So that's the one in red that i've just put on the screen there.
00:41
And then i thought, well, what if i did kind of an overlapping design? like it might be a fun, like edge of a logo for a race car or something.
00:50
So i'm just kind of playing around here.
00:52
And i did the same y minus two, but this time i translated it four to the right.
00:57
So that's how i created the overlap.
00:59
And my thinking was, wouldn't it be cool? this part was filled in red and this part was filled in blue.
01:03
So just an idea, just playing around.
01:05
There's no actual answer to this problem.
01:07
It's just you being creative.
01:09
So the last one i did, i wanted to have a shape that went the other direction...
