Mr Tutorial goes through solving problem 93 from chapter one section to practice. We're told to perform the given operations and then simplify it possible. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to rewrite this. So it looks like the operation, a more familiar form of the operation, which is multiplication. So for six times six pics and then I could multiply for 10 6 on, then get 24/6 times five and get 30. Honestly, I can see that they have this common factor of six. So I am going to do what is sometimes called cross canceling. Were dividing out a common factor before you even multiply because six divided by six is one. And so that leaves me with 4/5. Yeah, If you don't believe me, take a look at this. So four times six is 24 over six times five, which is 30. If I prime factor that I get to times 12 on 12 is two times two is four times two times three. Um, started out two times. Three times three. Firm is 12. So two times four times three is 24 then 60 a 30 is six. So two times 36 times five And then they share too. And they share a three. That these US two times two is four. And so there it up. But I saved myself so much work by removing the factors at the beginning rather than waiting until I multiply.
