this tutorial goes through answering questions. 56 from Chapter one, Section two Practice. We're told to perform the given operation, which in this case is subtraction. And so we're going to apply the rule for subtracting fractions with common denominators with like denominators. And that rule is that the UMA Raiders will find the difference of the new Meridor's, and that will be over. The common denominator four minus one is three, and so that becomes three overnight. Now the directions do you say to simplify if we can, so we're going to remove a common factor. We're gonna use prime factories ation here, and there's a three that I can remove because there's a three on the top of the bottom, and this is easy with this sort of understood one. There's always a one if there's nothing there, and so my simplified version is there. A fraction is 1/3 and so the the difference of four Nice and one night was 1/3
