and this problem we're being asked to perform to give an operation on these two palling all meals. Well, this is a subtraction problem. And the reason we know this because there's a minus sign in between the two Paulino meals. Well, to subtract Paulino meals for the first polynomial, we simply just bring those terms down. What we need to do is change the signs of each of the terms, and then we can drop the parentheses. So, in other words, the first term of positive zero point for a R squared will become negative zero point for eight R squared positive, 0.15 are will become negative, 0.15 are and positive 2.14 will become negative 2.14 Now we simply need to combine like terms. While our first set of light terms are 0.5 are square and negative. Zero point for a R squared well 0.5 minus 0.48 is negative. 0.43 so we'll have negative 0.43 r squared. Well, it's like term is negative. 0.15 are well negative. 0.33 minus 0.15 is negative. 0.48 So we'll have negative 0.48 are and our last term is negative. 2.14 Well, if you know this, it doesn't have a late term, so we simply need to bring it down into our final answer. So our final answer is negative. 0.43 r squared minus 0.48 are minus 2.14
