March 14th of every year is a special day for mathematicians everywhere, because if we were to take a look at the date and write it like we might do in short form, Marge is considered the third month of the year and 14 as its day and then the year it doesn't really matter. So then, if we were to take this short form and write it as a decimal, we could write it as three 0.14 which is the approximation that we use for pie so that way every year on.
