Production Costs. A television production company charges a basic fee of $\$ 5,000$ and then $\$ 2,000$ an hour when filming a commercial.a. Write a linear equation that describes the relationship between the total production costs $c$ and the hours $h$ of filming.b. Use your answer to part a to find the production costs if a commercial required 8 hours of filming
a) a) $c=2000 h+5000$b) $c=2000.8+5000$$c=16000+5000$$c=21000 \$$

We're told in this problem that there's a basic fee of $5000 a cost per hour of $2000. Now, when you think of cost per hour, think of that as a rate, a rate of change. And that means that that is the slope. So what we want to do is find the total cost. So what you're gonna do to get the cost is you're going to add together the basic fee with the amount charged for the hourly work. So it's $2000 per hour times h hours that looks like 2000 h. So putting it all together c equals 2000 h plus 5000. Noticed that that looks like y equals MX plus B for part B. We're going to find the cost. If eight hours of filming took place so fine, see when H equals eight so we can substitute eight in for H. That means we're going to multiply it by 2000 and then we'll add 5000. 2000 times eight is 16,000. At 5000. To that, we get 21,000 so the cost would be $21,000
