Wedge-Dash Notation

Wedge-dash notation is a conventional method used in chemical structures to represent the three-dimensional aspects of molecules on a two-dimensional plane. Wedge bonds come out of the plane towards the observer, and dash bonds recede behind the plane, allowing chemists to visually assess the configuration around a stereocenter.
