we're being asked to simplify this polynomial. We also want to make sure, in our final answer that our powers are going in descending order, meaning our exponents air starting with the highest and then decreasing. So let's first rearrange our terms. Using the community of other associate of properties to rewrite our terms in descending order and that way are like terms will also be next to each other. So our highest power isn't. Why squared. So I have negative three y squared. I also have a negative six y squared, so those will be like terms. So I'm going to rewrite this as negative. I simply need to combine my life terms. So first, let's look at our White Square terms. We have a negative three y squared minus six y squared. Well, negative. Three. Minus six is negative. Nine. So we'll have negative nine. Why squared next? We have negative. Why plus seven. Keep in mind when you don't see a coefficient, it's an Imagine everyone. So we have negative one plus seven, which is positive. Six. So we'll have plus six. Why? So our final answer is negative. White nine y squared plus six.
