Okay, we're solving 1/4 times 10 minus two. Why equals eight and you can distribute this 1/4. But this is gonna be a whole heck of a lot easier if we just go ahead and clear the fraction. And we're gonna do that by multiplying both sides by the denominator, which is four. Okay, that allows us to Caracas off this four here. And I end up with one times 10 minus two. Why equals eight times four, which is 32 or even better, 10 minus two. Why? Since that one is a relevant equals 32. Okay, Next, we would go about solving this, like a regular two step equation. So I want to get to the why I would get to the negative to last. So let's get rid of this 10 and move it to the right by subtracting it. And I have negative to y equals 22. Since the negative too, is attached to the Y with multiplication, I will divide it by negative too. And I end up with y equals negative 11. Okay, let's check that. This is actually correct. I have 1/4 times 10 minus two times negative 11. Is that equal to eight? So 1/4 times. Okay, I have 10. This is gonna be plus 22. So 32 is that equal to eight, while 1/4 of 32 is eight. So this works and why equals negative 11th.
