and this problem for asked to take the equation t equals two are plus two t We're being asked to solve this for are so in other words we're trying to isolate are all by itself. Well, to do this, we're gonna kind of treat this like a two step equation. We're gonna first move what's getting added to our to our term. Well, we're adding positive to t, so to move that positive to t to the left hand side, we're gonna simply subtract two tea. So on the left hand side, we have capital t minus two times lower case t. Well, because one of them's a capital T and one's a lower case t Those air not considered like terms so weak must keep them separate. So, in other words, will have capital t minus two times lower case T. Well, that will be equal to nothing has happened that you are so that we'll get brought down and to t minus duty is zero. So that cancels each other up. Well, remember, whilst we're are still trying to get our by itself while what's happening to our well, it's getting multiplied by two. Well, we'll see officer. The multiplying by two. Well, that's dividing by too. So we're gonna divide both sides of our equation by two. So on the left hand side, we have capital T minus two times lower case T all divided by two. Well, because both terms and numerator cannot both be evenly divided by two. We can leave that fraction as its and other words will have. Capital T minus two times lower case T all over too. And on the right hand side. Well, if you know this, we have to divide by two, which is one, so they cancel each other out. So we're simply left with our And now we've gotten our by itself. So we have found that capital T minus two times lower Case T all divided by two, is equal to ours.
