in this problem, I'm given the inequality negative. Three X is greater than 18. When you're solving inequalities, you're gonna work them just as you would any equation. Except there's one thing at the end that will be a little different at the end. If you multiply or the VOD, and most commonly it will be a dividing by negative number, you're going to flee up. You're inequality, son. So in this one, we have negative three X is greater than 18. Now we're not. We do not have to add or subtract because we have the term with the variable on the left side and the terms without the variable on the right side. So there's no simplifying or adding and subtracting today, so we're ready to go ahead and start the multiplying or dividing. I have negative three times X, so I need to divide by negative three on both shots. Now, In this case, I am dividing by a negative number, which means that my sign, my inequality sign must flip. Originally, it said greater than now. It has to say less, then my negative threes. We're going to cancel out on the left side and leave me with X 18 divided by negative three is negative. Six. So a solution is X is less than negative six.
