Okay, So this one says the state of Walking man was distributed as follows. Ten percent to his wife, five percent divided equally among his three children, five percent divided equally among US five grandchildren. The balance to a charitable trust. If the trust received one million dollars, how much did each grandchild in here? I can't. So first of all, that's going to find out the total percentage that is going to the trust. Because basically what we have here is ten percent is going to his wife and then five is going equally among his children, and then five is going equally among his grandchildren. And then the rest is for the trust. So if we want to find the amount for the trust, all we have to do is out of the total percentage of thie wife, children and grandchildren. And subtract that from one hundred percent. If we do one hundred percent minus ten for the wife, minus five from their children and minus five from the grandchildren, we should get eighty percent to the trust gets eighty percent. So then, if we know that one million dollars was given to the trust, we know that that mountain was gotten by taking the total amount X and multiplying that by zero point eight says that's eighty percent of the total amount. So then, to isolate X, we're just gonna divide both sides by zero point eight, and then we should find that X is equal to one million two hundred fifty thousand dollars. So then we know that out of the total one million two hundred fifty thousand dollars, three grandchildren got five percent, which is your point zero five. If we do that, we should get sixty two thousand five hundred. But then there are five children, so we have to divide this number by five to get the amount that each friend children will get, and so that will become twelve thousand and five hundred dollars.
