Problem 82 Hard Difficulty

The median age for U.S. blacks currently is 30.9 years; for U.S. whites it is 42.3 years.
a. Based upon this information, give two reasons why the black median age could be lower than the white median age.
b. Does the lower median age for blacks necessarily mean that blacks die younger than whites? Why or why not?
c. How might it be possible for blacks and whites to die at approximately the same age, but for the median age for whites to be higher?

Answer

A) The two reasons are given below:
$1 .$ It can be happen that US black's contains data of younger people.
$2 .$ It can also happen that US white's data is very large as compare to US black data.
B) No, the lower median age for blacks does not mean that they die younger than whites because
the sample size is not at all clear. As it is said that it can also happen that US white's data is very
large as compare to US black data.
C) It can happen that the eating habits of blacks and whites are same that can equally worsen the
health conditions of both age.

problem. 82. The median age for US blast currently is 30.9 years, and for US whites it is 42.3 years. Based upon this information give two reasons why the flight median age could be lower than the white median age. All right, possible reasons could be life expectancy. Maybe White's likes fated to live to a much more older Um, yeah, because they lead healthier lifestyles. Maybe it's because they are less prone to having serious diseases. All right, so they have a higher life expectancy or higher median age. All right now, other possible reason could be that, um, it took a Tate's example off black people that are younger people compared to the data sample that we took for white people. Maybe the data sample for white people was fooled with, um, older people. So the medium for white people will be higher than the median age for blood people. All right, question be, does the lower median age for plaques necessarily mean that blackstar younger than whites? Why or why not? Okay, assuming that we took adequate data samples meaning that there wasn't any bias nous would, um, taking younger people all the people, assuming that we calculated the median age for all black people and for all, why people? And we find out that the median age for blacks is lower than the median age for whites, then we can control that. Definitely blacks die younger than whites because there wasn't any areas in Teza something all right, Cristian See, How might it be possible for blacks and whites? It's a diet approximately the same age for the median age for whites to be higher. All right, well, a possible reason for this could be that there was errors in dates of sampling. Again, It's okay. I'm no population for plants and an older population for whites. And however, a correct calculation can show that the life expectancy four wives and blacks is exactly the same. But use the dates of sampling. The median age is different. Thank you guys
