The last question in this section is a review of what effects the rate of a reaction. There are five different things, actually. Three different things, and you are asked to choose whether it's one of them, all of them or none of them that can affect the rate of the reaction. The first one says the phase of the reactant. This is true because a gas well typically react more quickly than a solid. This is because a gas can mix more readily with the other reactant molecules than a solid can, because a solid that simply has its molecules or its atoms bound to each other. And it's difficult to get them to come in contact with other reactant molecules. So, yes, this is true. B says the temperature of the reaction. Yes, we know this is true. As we increase the temperature, we increase the kinetic energy of the molecules. They move more quickly, they collide more readily. Thus, the rated the reaction can increase the presence of a catalyst. Yes, this is also true. The presence of a catalyst will drop the activation energy and increase the rate of the reaction. So the answer then, is D. All of the above

The number 2 is also the smallest & first prime number (since every other even number is divisible by two).
If you write pi (to the first two decimal places of 3.14) backwards, in big, block letters it actually reads "PIE".
