The table below shows the number of people at a public swimming pool at various times during the day. (O represents noon, 1 represents $1 \mathrm{m}$, and so on. ) Plot the data in the table as ordered pairs. Then draw a straight line passing through the points.a. How many people will be at the pool at 6 RM.?b. At what time will there be 250 pcople at the pool?c. At what time will the number of people at the pool be half of what it was at noon?(TABLE CANNOT COPY)

Okay, So this particular table that we see is charting the number of people in the pool by time. So here is the time, and we're talking P m hours. Okay. And then on this axis, we have the number of people in the pool. Okay, so the table gives us a couple values one. We know that at zero time or at noon, when this clock starts. Since we're talking, P m ah. Zero would be noon. And we have 350 people. So that is right here. My grid is burning down a little bit differently than in your book, so just be careful there. But I'm plotting it exactly the same as the values they have in the tables. So 03 50 then three. At three o'clock, we have 200 people. So here's three, and I'm gonna go up to 200 people. And then last value they give me is at five. It's 100 people. Okay, so I'm gonna just connect this as best I can. Okay, rulers. Very helpful with this. Ah, So my first question is, how many people at six. So I want you to look at my graph here six o'clock and we can see that had I used a ruler which I should use, but on the computer screen, it doesn't always work as well. At 6 p.m. We seem to be right along the 50 people line. Then we want to know when is there going to be? Are there going to be 250 people? So here's 250 people. So let's just go right over here. And we could see this is aligning with 2 p.m. And another cool thing of a ruler is if you have, when you can lay it down to kind of match up where your points are, so you're always right on. It's probably always gonna be a nice, neat value for these, but you never know. So that ruler would help you see if you didn't have that particular break in the grid. I did mine at this smaller scale by fifties for that very reason soon could read it a little bit easier. So come up to you with scaling or using a ruler to help you out. Okay, Last part is, we want to know what time will it be when there are half a cz Many people, as there were at noon and remember, noon is when we started. So there were 350 people when we started. So the question is, when do we have 175 people? So 175 5 people is right here. I'm just gonna run this right over, and I could see that that seems to be right smack between three. And four. So I'm gonna say at 3:30 p.m.
