So if we, if this is angle b right here, we're gonna call this side angle, or side, this is angle c we're gonna call this side c and the side side a all right so just write that in just to be super clear it's not a whole lot of room on the side and a little c right there all right to love cosines one of the forms we can find it in is that b squared is equal to a squared plus c squared minus 2 a c cosine of angle b all right so to find um side b right here we have uh we're given sides a and c we need to find angle b so the first thing i would do looking at this problem is you can see this angle right here and we know that this right this right here is a flat line which means that the angles along it are going to add up to 180 degrees so we can say that 180 is equal to 51 plus 77 plus angle a and if you subtract the 51 and the 77 from both sides you'll find that a is equal to 52 degrees.
