since you're allowed to use a graphing calculator, I figured I'm not as well. I just use a graphing calculator to get the area. Um, So what you want is the area that IHS um and then a Sorry Shero Talib's No Michael zero. But that's obviously the X axis. So, um, you only want the area between these two curves. So what you could do is the integral from 0 to 1 of that upper function and subjecting zeros the gaps and then the integral from 1 to 3, um, and then the gate, Everything because it zero minus that function or what I'm about to show you it, you could just type in the inner rule. You find that by hitting the function tool from 0 to 3 of the absolute value of this function, I've been BX Now may I should clarify what the absolute value does is it takes anything that's below the X axis and flips it above.
