Use either the slope-intercept form (from Section 3.5) or the point-slope form (from Section 3.6) to find an equation of each line. Write each result in slope-intercept form, if possible.$$\text { Slope }-\frac{1}{4}, y \text { -intercept }\left(0, \frac{7}{8}\right)$$
$$y=-\frac{1}{4} x+\frac{7}{8}$$

we're being asked to write the equation of the line that has a slope of negative 1/4 and a Y intercept of 0 7/8 Well, because we're told the slope and the Y intercept, we can go straight to slope intercept form, which, remember, is y equals MX plus fee where M is our slope and B is the y intercept. So we simply need to substitute these values into this equation. So we're gonna have y equals M, which is the slope, which is negative 1/4 times X plus B, which is R y intercept with the 7/8 so the equation for this line will be y equals negative 1/4 x plus 7/8.
