to solve this system. The first thing I would want to do is clear the fractions on the first equation. So I'm gonna multiply that equation by two. And now we have negative 18 X plus y equals seven, and I'm going to then change my second equation into standard form by subtracting why from both sides. And it will be 18 x minus Y equals zero. Now, we add these two equations together notice that you have opposite ex terms, so they're eliminated and you have opposite y terms, so they're eliminated. So we have zero on the left and add the numbers on the right. We have seven. Zero equals seven is a contradiction. It is a false statement, and it is your clue that this system has no solutions. If you think of these as equations of lines, these airlines that are parallel and have no intersection points
