we're going to solve this system by the elimination method, I noticed that you have opposite. Why terms You have three white and negative three white. So when we had these equations together, those will cancel. Add the ex terms and we get eight X and the white terms We get zero. Now we have equals and add the constants 24 negative 24. And we get zero. So eight X equals zero is where we are. Divide both sides of that by eight and you get X equals zero. Okay, so next What we want to do is substitute that into one of the two equations and sulfur. Why? So I'm going to call this equation one and this equation, too, and I'm going to substitute into equation one four x plus three y equals 24. So four times zero plus three y equals 24 and four times zero is zero. So all we have is three. Y equals 24. Divide both sides by three. Why equals eight? Now I'm going to check my answer by plugging the numbers I found into equation too. So that would be four x minus three y equals negative 24. So that would be four times zero minus three times eight equals negative 24. And that gives us negative. 24 equals negative. 24. So that checks. So our solution we write as an ordered pair X comma y zero comma eight.
