Using Models Use the model given to answer the questions about the object or process being modeled.
Arizonans use an average of 40 gal of water per person eachday. The number of gallons $W$ of water used by $x$ Arizonanseach day is modeled by $W=40 x$ .(a) Make a table that gives the number of gallons of waterused for each $1000-$ person change in population, from0 to $5000 .$(b) If the pressure is $30 \mathrm{lb} / \mathrm{in}^{2},$ what is the depth?(b) What is the population of an Arizona town whose waterusage is $120,000$ gal per day?
a)$\begin{array}{|c|cccccc}\hline x & {0} & {1000} & {2000} & {3000} & {4000} & {5000} \\ \hline W & {0} & {40,000} & {80,000} & {120,000} & {160,000} & {200,000} \\ \hline\end{array}$b)$40 x=120,000 \frac{\text { divide by both sides by } 40}{\longrightarrow} x=3,000$So there's $3,000$ people in this town of Arizona.

part of our problem asks us to make a table that gives the number of gallons of water used for each 1,000 person changing population from 1,000 0 to 5,000. So over here I have created the table with the population on the left side, and I've already filled it out from 0 to 5,000 with at 1,000 population increase each level and on the right side, we need to fill in our number of gallons used. So the way that we're going to do this is we're going to use Our model was given to us, but the top right up here, and we're going to plug in our population as our X value because the population is the X number of Arizonans. So I'll do the first few and then fill in the rest of them. But you can calculate the rest on your own, So if we want to find the gallons ofwater W for a population of zero, we'll say w equals 40 times zero, which is just equal to zero. So far, population is zero. We use zero gallons of water per day. Then we could do the same thing for a population of 1,000 so w equals 40 times. This time we're plugging in 1,000 for our X number of Arizonans, and we get a total of 40,000 gallons. So I'll write that in over here and then fill up the rest of table. You're just going to go ahead and do the same thing. Plugging in 2,000 for X 3,000 x 4,000 for X in 5,000 for eggs. But for the sake of time, I have already calculated those fill them in right now cell for 2,000 people. We use 80,000 gallons of water a day, eight for 3,000 people. We use 120 1,000 gallons of water each day for a population of 4,000. Use 160,000 gallons of water per day, and finally, 5,000 people will use 200,000 gallons of water per day. So there's our answer for part A. And then part be asked us. What is the population of an Arizona town whose water usage is 120,000 pounds per day? So to answer this question, we're going to go back over to our table and We've already found that if we use 120,000 gallons per day, that means that the population is 3,000. So our answer for part B is simply the population size is 3,000 people in this grave, so there's
