Problem 27 Easy Difficulty

What are the main reasons economists give for the increase in inequality of incomes?

Answer

The economists give few reasons for increase in income inequality like the earnings of high skilled labor has increased multifold in comparison to that of low skilled or unskilled labor. It is so because the technological upgradation now needs more skill and supply of skilled labor is comparatively less. The two-eamer couples have increased and so does the number of single mothers which also lead to increase in income inequality.
