We're told that the speed of sound is 331 meters per second. Where then asked to find the frequency received by a mouse that this hawk is chasing right before it is dispatch. I apologize if you're an animal lover, Okay, so I would have run our Doppler expression f observed equals F S B W over V W plus or minus B s. All I think we really need to think about here we're just plugging and chugging is whether or not this is a plus or a minus in this equation. But if the hawk is flying toward the mouse than we know that, it's minus. So now we just have to plug in our numbers. F observed equals 3500 hertz times VW 331. That's our speed of sound. And we know it's minus 25 meters per second and when you plug that in, you get f observed equal to 3786 hurts
