Problem 17 Easy Difficulty

What is the difference between a private company and a public company?

Answer

There are different types of firms like private firms and public firms. These firms have different
structure of ownership.
The difference between a private company and a public company is that a private firm is owned
by people who also run the firm including daily operations while a public company has sold its
ownership in form of shares to public and people are then hired to run the company on daily
basis.

this question asked the difference between a private and a public company. What we know is that private companies are owned by a very specific group of people, and it's possible they could be run by individuals in fact, or a partnership as well as a big corporation. However, private companies do not have stock that the public can partake and own it. But we know what the public company there can be. Stock and shareholders own a public company collectively, or each shareholder owns a small part of.
