There are different types of firms like private firms and public firms. These firms have differentstructure of ownership.The difference between a private company and a public company is that a private firm is ownedby people who also run the firm including daily operations while a public company has sold itsownership in form of shares to public and people are then hired to run the company on dailybasis.
