this question asks, What is the law of conservation of energy and the Law of Conservation of Energy states that the total energy of an isolated system remains constant or conserved. And ah, quick way to say this is that energy cannot be created or destroyed. It can only be transferred or transformed. And so to relate this to a thermodynamic system which will be disclosed box and its surroundings. So everything inside this circle, if the system loses energy, it must be transferred to the surroundings. And if the surroundings lose energy, it must be transferred to the system. Ah, since this energy in the system cannot be created or destroyed, if it loses energy, it has to go somewhere and that would be the surroundings. And if it gains energy, it has to come from somewhere which would be these surroundings of the system.
