Talking about significant figures and just to kind of get a refresher as to what significant figures are or significant digits.

They are each of the digits of a number that are used to express it to a certain point of accuracy.

And there are certain rules that when it comes to expressing significant figures, depending on the number you have.

So there are rules involved, but they're not extremely complicated.

And the more practice you do with these, the better you're going to get at determining significant.

Figures especially when you are doing math problems and you have to adjust the number of significant figures as needed so i have a couple examples here we have six and we want to determine the number of significant figures for each of these the first one we have 902 .5 and so for this particular problem or for this particular number the number of significant figures that we are going to have is we're going to have four so here we do have a zero in between the nine and and the two.

So that is allowing the zero to be counted.

And we do have a number after the decimal.
