Hello.
00:02
For this video, we are going to go over the proper order of cell division.
00:09
So, cell division begins with the prophase stage.
00:24
And in this stage, the chromosomes began to replicate, and the spindle fibers emerge and begin to move.
00:39
Move to opposite poles.
00:45
And something i find helpful while viewing the cell division process is to draw diagrams with each of the phases in order to assist in remembering what stage goes where.
01:02
So as i said in the prophase, we have the crombsomes that have started to replicate and we have our centrosomes that are starting to move to opposite sides.
01:47
The next stage is pro -metaphase.
01:57
Pro -metaphase.
01:59
And this stage is where the nuclear envelope dissolves, and mitotic spindles attach to those centromere.
02:14
And what this looks like is now we have our chromosomes out of the nucleus.
02:35
Our center mirrors have moved to opposite sides.
02:41
And the spindles have emerged.
03:04
Put the central mirrors in red so you can see them a little bit better.
03:11
Following this stage, we have metaphase.
03:18
And during the menaphase stage, the chromosomes line up at the center of the cell with the spindle fibers all attached.
03:41
So we have our chromosomes and we have our sensor zones and the spindle fibers...
