00:01
Hello, welcome to this lesson.
00:02
In this lesson, we'll calculate the probability of winning a 5 -1 -6 lottery game where five numbers can be picked from a range of 30.
00:12
So here, let's have the number of ways that we can pick 5 out of 30.
00:20
So number of ways after that we know that the there's one combination or there's one exact way of winning out of the total number of ones of arranging five items in 30 right so number of ways does equals to 30 combination five so so here if we have n combination k, it is giving us n factorial, n minus k factorial, k factorial, right? so here we can have the number of ways which will be equals to 30 factorial on 30 minus 5 factorial, 5 factorial, right? so this becomes 30 factorial on 25 factorial times 5 factorial.
01:25
And we can express this as 30 times 29 times 28 times 27 times 26 times 25 factorial.
01:38
All over 25 factorial times 5 factorial.
01:42
So this one that goes away...
